What is a strike skill poe? ›

From Path of Exile Wiki. Strike skills are melee skills which hit a single target or all enemies with a melee's swing radius.

Attacks are one of the main categories of skills, the other being spells. All attacks do damage, and some attack skills will also apply buffs or debuffs, or have other effects. The player's default attack is an attack skill that is always available to use.

Cyclone is a channeling melee attack skill that rapidly hits all enemies in a circular area around the player. Cyclone gains stages during channeling that increase its base radius.

Range of melee attacks can be improved with various passive skills and items. Range bonuses provided by passive tree, jewels and non-weapon equipment are global, meaning they will apply to both weapons if dual-wielding.

At a typical base Critical Strike Chance of 5% and no increased Critical Strike Multiplier, 100% increased Critical Strike Chance corresponds to 2.5% increased dps. With 100% increased Critical Strike Multiplier, this increases threefold to 7.5% increased dps.

The recommended Ascendancy class for this build is Raider, which offers various benefits such as spell suppression, elemental ailment immunity, and increased attack speed and damage per frenzy charge. The passive skill tree should prioritize nodes that enhance attack damage, crit chance, accuracy, and defenses.

A critical strike is a type of hit that multiplies its damage by its critical strike multiplier. Critical strikes inherently gain 100% chance to ignite, freeze, and shock.

An attack skill is defined as "an enhanced melee or projectile attack". Attack skills are a direct subclass of the type skill. When activated, they cause you to attack and provide a damage bonus or additional effect for that attack.
